Love Yourself + Co (LYC) reestablished in 2015 in Rochester, NY and relocated to the DMV area in August 2016. It was developed in the philosophy that Beauty and Fashion can be conscious as well as DOPE at the same time. The brand embodies the movement of the African Diaspora and spiritual healing through building self-awareness and self-love. LYC is more than just Herbal skincare products, services, and clothing.
Meet The Team
Founder + Chief
I am a mompreneur, a former educator, and a 10-year esthetician. I am a generational entrepreneur. I follow in the footsteps of my mother who owned a catering and restaurant business for over 15 years. She ended her business after battling breast cancer in 2012. Because of her I pride myself and brand on educating, connecting, and transforming my tribe with herbal & non-toxic facial care. Offering online virtual esthetic services are our specialty as well. I want to provide people not only with safe facial care options. I want them to also help the environment by being able to recycle their jars with us (to receive future discounts) to reduce landfill waste.
Once relocating to Maryland I decided to relaunch and rebrand the business once again. Everything started well but last June I lost my job. After being laid-off from my 13-year profession in education I’ve spent the past 8 months pushing the brand forward. Having a production space and jar recycling (or refill) center are the next goals.
Freelance Graphic Artist::.
Creator + Designer at Tiny Pencil.
I am an Upstate New York dweller with a knack for projects that allow me to create. Like most artists, I began my creative journey as a kid on my parent's kitchen table doodling on old mail and napkins. Art is my “Happy Place”. I could not imagine my life without creativity. After my weekly 9 to 5 job, I spend my weekday evenings and weekends with my dogs Dexter and Daisy drawing, painting and designing. I enjoy working with small businesses in the local area and hope to work my way up to bigger projects.
Tiny Pencil Believes In:
Connecting authentically with people to communicate a message visually. Creating and developing art as distinct and unique as the client. To bring ideas and strangers together through design. To celebrate the point of views and stories. To focus on the small and contribute to their growth.
